Latest Express Entry Draw details

Draw #150:  Second Express Entry draw conducted in 2 days on 28 May 2020. The trend of avoiding FSW candidates continued as the special draw for Canadian Experience Class was conducted and 3515 Invitation to apply are issued. CRS cut off of this draw was 440.

Draw #149:  CIC conducted the latest Express Entry draw for Provincial Nominee Class on 27 May 2020. Total 385 Invitation to Apply issued to Express Entry Candidates. The candidate invited with the lowest score was 757. CIC continued to conduct the program-specific draw and ignoring out-land candidates due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Draw #148:  The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada conducted another program-specific draw for Canadian Experience Class on 15 May 2020. Total 3371 ITA are issued in the 148th draw and the CRS score of the lowest rank candidate was 447.

Draw #147:  The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada again conducted a program-specific draw and issued 529 candidates with the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate being 718 on 14 May 2020. This draw was restricted exclusively to candidates with nominations through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Draw #146:  The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada released the detailed of the latest express entry draw conducted under express entry stream on 30th April 2020. In the 146th draw under the express entry, a total of 3311 candidates are invited and the CRS score of the lowest rank candidate was 452. This draw is restricted to only Canadian Experience Class Candidates (CEC). It is 8 consecutive draw where Federal Skilled Worker is not included. Last, all stream draw was conducted on 4 March 2020. Since then special draws for Canadian Experience Class Candidates (CEC) and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates were conducted alternatively. Basically preference is given to inland candidates as outland candidates cannot submit their documents on time due to global lockdown amid COVID-19 pandemic.

Draw #145:  The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada released the detailed of the latest express entry draw conducted under express entry stream on 29th April 2020. In the 145th draw under the express entry, a total of 589 candidates are invited and the CRS score of the lowest rank candidate was 692. This draw was restricted exclusively to candidates with nominations through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Draw #144:  The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada released the detailed of the latest express entry draw conducted under express entry stream on 16th April 2020. In the 144th draw under the express entry, Total 3782 candidates are invited and the CRS score of the lowest rank candidate was 455. This draw is restricted to only Canadian Experience Class Candidates (CEC). It is the fourth draw in within a week.

Draw # 143: The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Canada released the detailed of latest draw conducted under express entry stream of 15th April, 2020. In the 143rd draw under express entry, Total 118 candidates are invited and CRS score of lowest rank candidate was 808.

This was the smallest draw ever conducted under express entry stream. This draw was restricted exclusively to candidates with nominations through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Why Online CEC and PNP candidates ?

From past one month ,all program Express Entry draw was not conducted, as Covid-19 has impacted the approach of CIC towards inviting express entry candidates. Even if they invites the candidates, it very difficult for candidates to submit the required documents due to extended  lockdown all over the world. However, as CEC candidates are already in Canada and most of PNP candidates are also present in Canada. therefore it is easy for these candidates to apply and these applicants do not have to deal with international travel restrictions  and their file can be processed on time.

What is Canada Express Entry Draw?

The technical explanation of Canada Express Entry Draw is that, it is a point-based system to select the best candidates suited for the Canada’s labour market. In order to get selected, one needs to acquire high CRS score by declaring his/her age, educational qualifications, professional experience, language proficiency and adaptability factors. In simple terms, higher the CRS Score faster the chances of getting selection under Express Entry.

How to get invitation to apply with low CRS Points?

If a candidate has only managed to attain a low scoring CRS points in the Latest express entry draw, then he/she will have alternatives to choose from. Firstly, the candidate should try to improve his CRS points by the following ways:

  • Re-appearing for the IELTS Examination can improve the scores when one understands the pattern of the examination.
  • Candidate’s spouse can be beneficial for additional CRS points, if the spouse has more work experience, a high IELTS score and high qualifications.

Consecutively, if the candidate does not wish to opt the aforementioned choices, the candidate will have other alternatives to rely on. Below are the options:

  • The candidate should apply for the Provincial Nominee Program, if nominated then the he/she will receive 600 additional CRS points.
  • Having a valid job offer from a Canadian employer through Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), can fetch 50 to 200 additional CRS Score which will be decided on the basis of candidates chosen NOC.
