BC PNP issued 237 invitations in latest Covid-19 impacted draw

British Columbia conducted the latest draw on 7 May 2020, under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), and issued 237 Invitations to the candidates under a total of 5 sub-streams of Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams.

Draw were categorized as follows :

Invitation issued under Express Entry BC Stream :

  • EEBC-skilled worker, with a minimum score of 108.
  • EEBC – International Graduate with a minimum score of 106.

This stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry profile. Under the Express Entry BC stream, candidates must have an active Express Entry profile, and 600 points are issued in their Express Entry profile upon successful nomination.

Invitation issued under Skilled Immigration Category :

  • SI – Skilled Worker with a minimum score of 102
  • SI – International Graduate with a minimum score of 106
  • SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled with a minimum score of 83

Candidates those who got BC PNP Invitations , have to submit the complete within 30 days of issuing the invitation.

This draw of BC PNP invitations, is affected by the Covid -19 pandemics. As following NOC are excluded for this Draw:

Business-related to these NOC are affected by the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as a result, the demand for these occupations is declined in the province. This is not the first stream that is affected by the Coronavirus.

Earlier CIC conducted only CEC and PNP draws at the Federal level and not conducted all stream draw since 4 March 2020. Apart from this Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) also made changes in their intake pattern due to the COVID-10 pandemics
