OINP Tech Draw
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted its Tech Draw on May 13, 2020, under OINP’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream and issued 713 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to the Candidates having CRS between 421 and 451.
All the candidates who receive Notifications of Interest (NOIs) have at least 1 year of Canadian work experience in the following six NOC :
0213 Computer and information systems managers
2147 Computer engineers
2172 Database analysts and data administrators
2173 Software engineers and designers
2174 Computer programmer and interactive media developers
2175 Web designers and developers

After a long time, CRS requirements for OINP dropped below 325 because OINP preferring only inland Candidates for their province nominee program, as there are restrictions of international travel due to Covid-19 pandemic. Those who received NOI are required to submit their full application to OINP within 45 days of receiving ng NOI through the OINP online portal.
How Tech Draws are conducted :
OINP keeps searching the Express entry profile which meets the Human Capital Priorities Stream criteria and has work experience in the target National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes decided by the Ontario Nominee Program. Candidates are required to have at least one year of experience in the targetted NOC. If a candidate fails to demonstrate the required experience, the application can be refused.

How targeted NOC are decided :
To meet the shortage of labor and provide skilled labor to the employer across the Ontario province, OINP collects data of job market thought to put the province through a survey and face-to-face consultations. After concluding all data a demand list is prepared and Express entry applicants are targeted as per this list.
Those candidates who receive NOI doesn’t mean they are eligible for one other OINP stream. Candidate need to check before applying if they qualify or not.
