The Ontario PNP conducted its latest draw for the candidates who are eligible under its Provincial Nominee Program sub stream: Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP). This draw brought relief of outland candidates as a majority of invitations are issued to candidates with foreign work experience.

In recent times, due to COVID-19 pandemics, outland candidates were ignored at federal Express Entry draw and Provincial Nominee Program Draws. In this latest Ontario PNP draw, a total of 699 Express Entry candidates are invited from 9 eligible occupations:

List of occupations considered for the OINP draw

  1. Financial managers (NOC 0111)
  2. Other administrative services managers (0114)
  3. Advertising, marketing and public relations managers (0124)
  4. Financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111)
  5. Other financial officers (NOC 1114)
  6. Professional occupations in business management consulting (NOC 1122)
  7. Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012)
  8. Other primary health practitioners (NOC 3124)
  9. Dieticians and nutritionists (NOC 3132)

Human Capital Priorities Stream- Canadian experience

167 Notification of Interest (NOI) are issued to the express entry candidates having at least one year of Canadian work experience in one of the 9 targeted occupations. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this Ontario PNP stream dropped below 400. Selected candidates had a CRS score of between 358-439 in their Express Entry profile.

Human Capital Priorities Stream-foreign experience

On the other hand, the majority of Notification of Interest (NOI) are issued to the Candidates with at least 1 year for foreign work experience in one of the 9 targeted occupations. 532 NOI are issued to candidates who meet the foreign work requirement and have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 471-500.

How to apply Ontario PNP

To be eligible for OINP human priority stream. candidate needs to have an active express entry profile along with they have to meet the occupation I demand list which is regularly updated by OINP and the minimum CRS requirements. After receiving NOI candidates are given 45 days to apply through OINP e-Filing Portal. candidate has to pay $1,500 to apply.

What is the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program

Ontario is one of the most popular destinations among the immigrant and almost 35 % of the population of Canada lives in Ontario. The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) regularly searches the IRCC’s Express Entry pool to find candidates who may meet the criteria of one of Ontario’s Express Entry immigration streams. The OINP collects individuals from the Express Entry Pool to personally invite them to live and work in Ontario.

Like other Provincial Nominee Programs, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) also received its 2020 nomination allocation from the federal government. OINP is allocated a quota of 7,350 nominations and an additional 250 nominations specifically for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations (National Occupation Classification [NOC] – Skill Level C).
